How we gather startups and investors together for a 2-days bootcamp online
Online events are all about engagement - we know that. We’ve attended dozens of various conferences, workshops and meetups this year. We’ve tried a bulk of digital tools used to drive virtual events, and talked with many other organisers out there. We even made our own virtual conference back in May - Tech Touch.
Now we are ready to host our own online startup conference. Below are the activities that will be included in Startup Touch on 29-30 October.
Mentorship sessions - pre-arranged personal work meetings for startups with investors.
After we close the applications on 15 October, we will share the list of confirmed startups to our invited mentors from the VC funds, accelerators and startup-enabling organisations - you can find them on the event website. Meanwhile, the startups will be invited to a special Slack workspace to get prepared for the conference.
The mentors will choose 3-4 startups from the list to work with. Then we will set up the schedule of these sessions and share them with the participants. 25 minute - duration of each session. They will be run in our event app - Pinetool.ai, access to which the participants will get before the conference, via email invitation.
Bootcamp - specially prepared workshops for all participating startups.
20-30 minute online lectures, with a live Q/A session, where founders will learn about: How to survive the business during COVID, Go-to-market strategies, Product/market fit, Scaling to the USA, Finance and budgeting, etc. These are the practical types of lectures, focused on the participating startups’ profiles.
Pitch Night - TOP 20 startups from the region will pitch to the investors’ panel.
Among the participating teams, we will choose 20 companies that would benefit from taking part in the pitching contest. Our international jury panel will ask the clarifying questions to the presenters and maybe give some good feedback. They will select the 3 top startups of Startup Touch 2020. A bit of recognition for the winners as we will share about them to our media partners.
Crash Test - innovative and scientific ideas presentations.
This is where more early-stage startups and to-be-entrepreneurs with innovative ideas will be able to present in front of the international audience. And they will also hear valuable feedback from our jury panel.
Networking - business meetings online and virtual networking.
Our event app lets everyone participating to create their personal profile for the conference, see the list of other attendees, text them and request virtual meetings with whoever they want during the conference. Have your calendar prepared for that and don’t miss the requests!
About Georgia - talking about the opportunities for digital business in Georgia and the region.
This will be a series of interviews and presentations, running here and on the main stage of the event, revealing the potential of the local market for startups and investors from Eastern Europe and further.
Overall, this conference should connect people, let them find potential partners, investors or investment opportunities, clients and exposure.
